- About Department:
- The Department of of History was established in 1971 with the inception of Sant Dnyaneshwar Mahavidyalaya, Soegaon,Dist.Aurangabad. At the beginning Department had two posts prof. T.T Mahajan and prof. Ramdas Sable,both worked hard in the strenathenig of Department Later prof. Wamanrao Rokade had the responsibility of Department. he also worked as the vice - principal and N.S.S programme officer of the college.
- At present there are two post in the Department of history one is Dr.Shirish pawar he had worked as a Incharged princicipalf for 01 /02/2013 to 15/07/ 2015 and also Vice –principal and Head of the Department.he has also worked as a Disrict coordinator at Det. of N.S.S Dr . B.A M.U Aurangabad for six years . in addition to this he has worked for central teacher Executive commitee of Dr.BAMU Aurangabad.he has also led the central youth festival of Maharashtra and Goa states.he was also BOS Member and Faculty member Dr.BAMU Aurangabad. Another newly appointed from the Department of History is Mr. Govind phad who is working sincerely sence the Date of appointment he is working as N.S.S programme officer. he has presented various research papers at conferences, seminars. He has also organised educational study Tours for the student of the college .for example ,Ellora, Daulatabad Fort where he held site seminar The Department of History is also running post Graduation course.
